They're supposed to be advisors of the Pope.
There didn't used to be this many of them.
There's a lot of them now.
In fact, there's more than I think there is even required or permitted by canon law, from what I understand.
And so a consistory is just a meeting of the cardinals with the Pope.
And what they are having today is an extraordinary consistory, which is something they convened for some special, important, and grave reason.
And they have a consistory whenever they vote on the new pope, but this is supposed to have some reason.
But the reason they can invoke, that Leo can invoke this is because he wanted to have more dialogue.
The people said they didn't get enough dialogue.

And they were hoping that Leo would be more open to meeting with them.
And he said, well, I'm all about listening.
And so that's what I'll do.
And that's what they were sort of expecting.
And that's what's happening today.
Well, Francis Church and Leo's Church are the same kind of church.
They're not really Catholic.
They're just sort of this new thing.
And they've always said that they're all about listening.
But whenever I hear that, whenever I hear that, I always think about how it's not really about listening.
