And it got to the point where I couldn't pump the pedal far.

The pedal wasn't coming back fast enough.

So I'd curl my toes over the end of the pedal to pull the pedal back so I could pump it faster.

And so anytime you touch the brake pedal, the pedal would just go to the floor and you had to pump it back up again.

And I just got on the radio.

It was about lab 80 and I was like,

We can't keep doing this.

We're literally going to ride a car off doing this.

And like, I think we were using Rick's car for Rick and I, and my car was the other car, was being the other car used.

And I said, we're going to write some cars off here.

We need to be racing at the Gold Coast in two weeks.

Let's think about this.

And the team, we retired the cars.

So yeah, lost Bathurst.

It was like, it was still, it was still fast.

I think when I jumped in and we had no brakes, I set fastest lap of the race, but it was sketchy.

It was proper sketchy.

So, um, yeah, I only found out, um, well, I was the first driver to win the championship when, as once Bathurst became part of the championship.

I was the first driver to win the championship by DNFing Bathurst.

Yeah.
