So they'd strip the engine down after every meeting.
So we'd have to freight the engine back in bits and then put the car away wherever we were leaving it, Melbourne, Sydney, Queensland, depended where we were, and then rebuild the engine and then send the engine back and put it all together and go to the next race.
So there was, yeah, a lot of that going on, a lot of freight, but the car basically lived on the East Coast.
the flu the midnight horror which you would have done a lot where you leave Perth at midnight and you fly through the night and then you land in Melbourne or Sydney at five in the morning and go to the car put the engine in go to the track and you get to the track at five in the afternoon and your eyes are hanging out because you haven't slept and
It's what you had to do because it was the cheapest way to do it.
Well, yeah, it is character building, but that's what you did then.
You had a million dollars to form the fort.
It was, yeah, you just didn't have the budget.
So the best way for us to do it was to do it like that, and we didn't know any other way.

Joe, Daniel's dad and my dad knew each other through Wannaroo Raceway.
And when we built the house that we grew up in, Joe did all the earthworks for the house.
