You know, I was thinking about talk show hosts before we picked up the mics today and what motivates them.
And it's nice to be heard.
It's nice to be seen.
We can't really do therapy too well on ourselves.
It's like trying to practice dentistry on yourself.
You don't have the right perspective for doing it.
When you're meeting with a third person, when you're meeting with that counselor, the counselor gets the opportunity of being an outsider looking in.
And as a result, because of that different perspective, can see things that you don't see in yourself.
Now, having said that, some people don't like to hear the feedback of the therapist, right?
So we talk about things like timing, but that aside, the value of the therapist is the opportunity
to learn these things about yourself.
And we want to learn so that we can manage them more effectively such that they're not pulling our strings and managing us.
Hey.
You know, I, I was on a couple of trips recently and we would go to, um, tourist traps, tourist attractions, and at every single one, there would be a person, quite frankly, most often a young lady with a selfie stick and the phone in the selfie stick and sometimes a stand to hold their phone.
And they're doing these, uh, selfies, you know, in, in the environment.
And then they do take two.
Then they do take three.
Then they do take four.
Trying to get just the perfect image of themselves.
And we also know that there are those who will see these so-called influencers.
