That's how you felt you've been played?
They're good questions and maybe we should ask them too.
I can see why you're angry.
And I've got to say too, your anger is very balanced.
It's easy to write off people if they're emotional, this has happened, but you're very logical in your arguments, very logical in your discussions.
And I know there's things that you've said to me that we haven't discussed here, but you're giving the names of people and the specific conversations that you've had with people and your frustrations that, yeah, it's just lip service they're giving you.
We need to keep talking about it to make people sit up and do something.
But I hope people that are listening to this podcast start to think, okay, this is outrageous.
Why isn't things being done?
What would you suggest to anyone sitting there listening or that are going through a similar situation you were going through before the murder and the build-up to the murder?
How do you think you could have done something different or what advice would you give to people who find themselves in the same situation as you've found yourself?
No, I understand where you're coming from.
I don't think anyone that's sitting here listening to you, given what you've been through, don't understand where you're coming from.
You said inappropriate to give advice.
I'd give some advice because I quite often get asked questions where people are getting frustrated about the assistance they're getting from police.
The thing that I tell people if they go to police stations and they don't think they're getting the appropriate response and getting fobbed off, the moment I walk into a police station, I'd take a notepad and pen and I'd ask, who am I speaking to?
Get the name of the officer that you're speaking to and then start asking the questions because that comes with accountability.
Being anonymous allows a degree of wiggle room to get out of, oh, well, who did they report it to?
I don't know.
I don't know.
