You want possibly two teams every year from the worst conference in America in the NCAA tournament taking seats at that table?
That's a non-starter for him.
It's a non-starter for the Big Ten.
So you just run into all of these situations where
We can come up with a million different ideas where it's a better basketball product for people who just want to watch awesome basketball and an awesome tournament.
But once you rope in the power conference commissioners and the television networks, you run into some real problems.
I don't think so, but like if you were to put pen to paper and say, okay, we are doing this because of this main reason.
Now on a separate list, let's come up with other good things that could come of this.
Yeah, it would be on that list, right?
Instead of people watching basketball games on Fox in March, they'll watch more basketball games on CBS or TBS or TNT or whatever.
you know, true TV than they otherwise, you know, you got more eyeballs over here instead of over there.
So it is, I guess, a positive, but not a motivating factor.
The motivating factor was the SEC is bigger than it's ever been.
The Big Ten is bigger than it's ever been.
And this team that used to finish at this place in the SEC is now, by definition, going to finish lower.
But how do we make it where they can still get where they used to get if they finished where they used to would have finished?
