Obviously with Nintendo, you never quite know, but we've got a rough idea of like what, what feels right. Right. What seems right for this, this kind of system. And I was, I was at three nine nine. So for it to come in at four, four nine is like a little bit on the little bit on the higher side. I kind of feel like they probably, I'm sure they would have preferred to bring it in at three nine nine.
You know, anytime that, that top digit ticks up, right? Whether it's 449 or 499, that front digit is still a 4, right? And that's, you know, that's full-on console. I mean, it is a full-on console, so fair enough. Maybe because you also think of it as a handheld, there's a little bit of price discrimination there. Look, it's a handheld, but it's not just a handheld.

The whole point is it is a full-on console. And hopefully, you know, we'll get into the specs later, and once we actually get our hands on one, we'll really know. But hopefully, you know, it's going to close that gap between the hardware performance of the higher end systems and this one.

And so my guess is to get it where they wanted to get it with the 4K and 120 frames and everything else that it's doing, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say this is the cheapest they possibly could bring it in at the specs that they wanted. But it's still... I would like to have seen it 3.9. I mean, it's going to sell...

You're not going to be able to get one on day one, no matter what, even if it was 499, you still, it would still sell out. But like, what's the price I would have liked to have seen and kind of in my own, like, what do I know about what hardware really costs brain 399 kind of felt like the over under. So they've gone a little bit over. I don't know. What do you think?

No, it was in the spec sheet, and it was interesting. I just wanted to cat about this outside. The number they gave is kind of silly. The battery range they gave on the spec sheet is two to six and a half hours. And then it has a disclaimer at the end that says, obviously, battery life depends on conditions and what game you're playing and so on and so forth. But that's a massive range, right?

Two hours to six and a half hours? And then the bottom end of that, that's very... I mean, this is an issue that handhelds, Steam Deck, Every system has this right, and a battery life is still the big bottleneck. That's not brilliant, though.

Oh, so if you buy the bundle, you're actually getting it on the cheap. You're getting it for $50.

That is expensive. I think generally across the board, you are going to see, especially as we go into the, you know, because Nintendo is kind of like weirdly like halfway through the other generations, you know, they're on their own schedule. But like, as we get into the, you know, next Xbox and PS6, I think you're going to see, that $80 price point.

Traditionally, I mean, I remember when games went from $40 to $50, right? I mean, they went from $50 to $60 with the, was it the 360 generation that bumped them up? I can't remember. But people were going, oh my God, here we go. Yeah, look, games are getting more expensive to make, right?

We see all the time about massive teams and billion dollar budgets and everything you expect from AAA, what that costs. Yeah, the prices are going to go up. So I think $80 is a lot. I'd be interested to see if the physical and digital prices are the same. They're not.
