We see all the time about massive teams and billion dollar budgets and everything you expect from AAA, what that costs. Yeah, the prices are going to go up. So I think $80 is a lot. I'd be interested to see if the physical and digital prices are the same. They're not.
I mean, that's a real bit of sticker shock, right? Imagine going to Target or wherever you go to buy a GameStop, wherever you go to buy your video games, and you walk out, you see, oh, Mario Kart World, and there's the game. I want the physical copy. And you go, and then it says $89.99. Like, that's going to take a moment to, like, reacclimatize to this new world, right?

Hopefully, because I remember when, like, they did... Alamo. Remember Alamo? The alarm clock? If you were a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, which we are, we have the family plan for everyone to have all the Nintendo Switch Online features, you got preferential VIP treatment to order it before anyone else could. I don't know if that's going to be the case with this.

front of the line or whatever but it sounded like they were kind of hinting at that that you you we had an opportunity to register early and we'll see how that actually plays it's going to be a shit show on pre-order day and launch day no matter what but you know hopefully that might help a little with scalpers does it turn on no of course it fucking doesn't

like the hardcore titles like the next Mario Odyssey or whatever it is those are going to charge you a premium I will say and I'm going to sound like a Nintendo apologist here and I often am because I love Nintendo there are definitely things about the Switch 2 that I'm disappointed by and we'll get into that as well I wanted you know you want everything right you're never going to get everything but the things we didn't get I was like oh man that was something I actually really wanted um

$80 for Mario Kart sounds like a lot of money, right? $80 for a video game. With Mario Kart, though, come on, let's be honest. That is a game you are going to play for fucking years and for thousands and thousands of hours, right? We still play Mario Kart 8. Right? That's a fucking Wii U title. Right? And we still play it. Because that's the most recent version of Mario Kart.

And, like, we bust it out all the time. So I think if you're talking about, like, how much it costs versus, like, well, value for money, like, how many hours of entertainment is this game going to give you? Mario Kart, you could be $100, and you would still come out on top. You know what I mean?

Not every game's like that, but Mario Kart is one of those games that just, you know, it has potentially infinite, you know, value for money.
