Now, I mean, we can actually try to count all the white people in the protests.

This is a temporary measure to answer what Donald Trump is trying to do across this country.

It is temporary, and it is considerate of the Voting Rights Act, which is something that Texas does not care about.

They are splitting communities of color.

We are doing everything we can in this map to lift up those communities of interest and protect the Voting Rights Act.

We honor and lift that work up.

4.3 million black people live in Texas, the largest number of black folk in any state, in any country, and in the union.

And look at that districting map.

How are their voices going to be represented?

So I want us to understand what we're seeing not only in Texas but around the country as a part of racial gerrymandering, as part of the racialist and racist agenda of the Trump administration.

I know we want to talk about it simply in terms of politics.

But there's something insidious underneath it all.

This is radical rigging of a midterm election, radical rigging of an election, destroying, vandalizing this democracy.

the rule of law.

So I'm sorry.

I know some people's sensibilities.

I respect and appreciate that.

But right now, with all due respect, we're walking down a damn different path.
