When he resigns, I think he was tacitly saying, even when he resigned the military commission, I am a citizen.
And then at the presidency, I'm a citizen.
Adams wanted him to take a kind of royal or princely title.

But I think that's really at the heart of it, that this building block is not the top.

The no kings rallies, the sense... I mean, I'm starting to feel more optimistic listening to you about this moment, this sort of this energy, this percolation, this notion that the top is the bottom, this notion that we... This foundational...
principles that have allowed us to endure and endure these moments.
And the fact that these moments are hardly unique in our history and the fact that we've been able to persevere.
I mean, are you feeling more or less optimistic in that context?
I know it's the road question you get every interview.
So in the context of this moment in particular, and I mean, quite literally, perhaps this moment.
