We don't have HR.
There's only six of us working here in a cupcake shop.
We're all regular employees, and when I try and speak to my owner manager, he completely ignores the situation, says it's a high school issue, and we should figure it out.
So I did.
Today, when she said morning slim, I replied morning chunky.
And she got upset and started crying.
Everybody here at work, only six of us in total, are saying I'm wrong.
And I should apologize because being called fat is different than being called skinny.
Because being called skinny is a compliment.
I said, as long as she calls me slim, I'll call her chunky.
And now I'm the bad person.
Am I the arsehole?
Yeah.
I do find it, because I've had it my whole life, right?
But, you know, if I went over to someone, there's certain things that you can't say.
Like, people seem to think that you can say that to people, right?
Yeah.
You know, if I went over to someone and said, look at the size of your nose.
I mean, exactly.
That is massive.
