And that's a little bit of the theme of some of the stuff I changed in the book.
But it's crazy to think.
Yeah, I mean, it sold fine, but it didn't get a second printing.
and um and so yeah uh uh very excited to bring it back a publisher wanted to do it i went really and uh but agreed that you know the interest in architecture is there and uh so it was fun to well i shouldn't say fun it's hard as you know to go back and read things you you wrote
um it's it's painful yeah it's not fun actually at all but i i enjoyed two parts of it which was one to just kind of go through the book and trim a few things or rewrite a few things that have changed not a lot um but then i tossed the last couple of chapters
that we're looking at state of the game and the future of the game.
And look at now what's why has why has there become so much more interest in golf course design since I did the book and we couldn't we couldn't give it away.
And and it's fun to explore those things.
What's driving it?
Obviously, I have some mentions of the fried egg and drones and and and all the things that, you know, used to mystify me.
as to why people weren't why more people weren't interested they have opinions on courses but they really didn't have any desire to try to back them up it was usually whether it was hard or not and uh and now you know to think just in 20 years we're kind of in a an age of enlightenment and and and and where it's architecture's place should be in the game uh which is this sort of uh
blend of connoisseurship and uh and and really the reason a lot of people play to see different courses because no other court sport has what we have um i mean tennis has some different surfaces but and you can play in some interesting locations but the court's always the same and we know that architecture is just great because um there's so many different things and it's fun to debate and uh so yeah so it's uh it's refreshed it's got a beautiful cover it came out
The printing is just incredible.
So I'm thrilled about that.
And I'm thrilled that I was able to fix some things or tweak some things and then bring a little bit of new perspective without throwing out the whole book.
Which it always is.
It's always behind whatever bad trend is.
