National Portrait Gallery, I can stand in front of one of those paintings for an hour, one painting, and look at every brush stroke and be like, oh my god, look how they've made this colour blend.
I think when you haven't ever seen any, A, a building that large, B, with so much inside it, C, with all the things inside it having so many, like, contrasting ideas and opinions and techniques.
It's like when you haven't been exposed to that and then suddenly you're nearly an adult and you go and you're engulfed by this.
anyone wouldn't want to stay in there forever if you'd never seen something like that for the first 18 years of your life so I think those spaces are amazing.
And I never, like also to what you're saying, I never ever read the little things.
I appreciate that there's probably important information on them.
But I love this thing, especially when it's like a really historical painting.
Like I find it like, like I said, bewitching, like almost like quite haunting.
And I love to look at it and have absolutely no idea what...
the painter or the people that sort of were doing or thinking.
