It goes back to what I said at the very start of this conversation is that like,

the magic about this whole thing i think is everything's been so word of mouth and like a lot of these things have come from people like you who i've connected with early on instagram and then you've gone and said to somebody else and now i'm on snl and like it's really annoying i can't say a lot of the things that are about to happen as well and i'm fully expecting a message for you in a week's time going why didn't you tell me this on the show and i'll be like i'm sorry

i couldn't say anything but it there's there is a lot of things that are coming up that have happened in that way and it's been you know i mean even having somebody like melissa mccarthy proclaiming herself as like head of my fan club like that sort of word of mouth and the throw-in from women and gays and they's in creative spaces on this well and the queen of pop or the joint queen of pop with madonna but uh kylie minogue

I think also the really nice thing about everything is the kind of energy I'm getting off of friends in the industry and new fans as well who are creative.

Other creatives that are loving this project, there's this sense of it's a win for everyone.

it's been really incredible to feel from people and receive and also really incredible to give people that sort of thing of like you can do this you can make it work and and I think like even Jason who was my opening act on the show last week who I've known for a couple of years actually he's very young and an incredible performer but in a really early stage of what he's doing and

And he phoned me up the week before it and was like, I needed to call you and tell you that, like, I hope you understand how what you're doing is so incredibly important for all of us that are like, you know, coming into this as working class creators, as people who are grafting and don't have the contacts and don't have the funds because it's such an important win.

And like that for me has been one of the most humbling things about the whole thing.

Like when I was 21, if I could see someone who I recognized from my area or,

from the same tour circuit or pub gigs doing this kind of stratospheric rise.

God, it would be motivating.

So I think the whole kind of communal win around this is one of the things that's also driving people to push it further on my behalf as well.

And like, if you want me back on the show, you want me to shout out about anything, you

this is the thing right like I'm looking at it through the same window the other way it's like this is about everybody I think it's everybody that's making this successful and it and it belongs to everybody so yeah it's exciting we ask every guest um three questions at the end the first is if you could do an imaginary art heist and take home an artwork uh what would it be but it could be anything it could be like a building or it could be just something that you've really loved in culture

Well, now I feel like I'd have to go and find that painting of that girl eating a bird.

Yeah, I feel like that now is the thing.
