It could be like a really good way to sort of get the conversation about money going in a world where we're trying to get people educated and confident about talking about money.
They could really ham that up, you know.
Little networking events, you know, pension workshops, I don't know, whatever.
Anyway, moving on.
We've heard of making money from your home and even from your driveway.
But what about your garden?
More and more homeowners, it seems, are selling slices of their land to develop for six-figure sums.
But experts warn these deals can come with hidden risks, from undervaluing land to legal complications and tax bills.
Helen, I don't have a garden.
That would sell for very much.
I mean, it's about the size of a postage stamp.
But if I were fortunate enough to have a very large garden, why and how would I consider selling off a chunk of it?
Yeah, this is actually quite close to home, quite literally close to home.
My mum's next door neighbour sold a chunk of their land off and my poor mother, bless her,
she is absolutely beside herself, bless her, about it.
Because she's just, you know, fearing the absolute worst.
Because they've sold off a chunk of land, but it's to a developer that could build anything.
And what I would say is, I don't think it's an easy process to go through if you are the person selling off the land.
Because a lot of people put in protests about it.
I don't know how it got overturned, but it did.
