When Wink came for the direct face-to-face interview, this is where the clip picks up.
So it sounds like he changed his mind.
Wink didn't change his.
I mean, there's no reason to lie.
I mean, unless something happened where financially the budget didn't allow for two main guys like Wink and Frank.
That's the only thing that I can say.
That's what was reported, though.
Yeah, I mean, the budget is a certain amount that they put aside for coaches and front office staff and things of that nature.
And to get guys with those types of reputations, you've got to pay them.
And then those guys are going to want their guys paid.
Well, I think it's very plausible, and this is what I guess Aaron Glenn's fighting against, but it's very plausible that he said, I'm paying you $12 million a year.
You should be calling the defense.
Why are you bringing in a guy that I also have to pay when we just fired everybody else that I have to pay, and then you want an expensive offensive coordinator too?
Again, that's the budgetary process, and that's a real thing within NFL buildings.
