He's been there a long, long time.

I think he was there as a kid and everything.

He's come through.

I just think it's the right move for him because it showed last year how well he played at Motherwell.

He was getting constant football.

He was a big, big player.

The manager probably first in his team sheet every week that he could pick him up.

and made him feel really, really important.

So I think what the boy's done is, look, he could sit there, he's probably on a decent salary at Celtic.

He could probably sit there for another year and see it out and maybe say, right, I'll get back out and loan or whatever.

But you get to staging your career, you look at it and you think, this is a short career.

I don't want to be sitting at the end of my career and wishing I had went out and obviously made a move away from Celtic if I'm not going to play here.

Me personally, I'd have kept him.

I'd have kept him all day long.

But if he's not going to play, then it's right for a boy to go out and start playing football.

Which is great news.

Delighted to hear that.

Look, I always go back to one thing in my football career.

I was very fortunate.

I'm not going to say I played against Kenny Douglas.
