Listen, I have no doubt that he's, you know, got the ability and the leadership to go and do that.

I just think that, and I'm not being disrespectful here because people can argue Hearts have had a much better season than Rangers by a country mile.

But captain in hearts and captain in Rangers is two completely different things.

Look at what Tavenier achieved at Rangers as a player with his stats, his goals, his appearances, Hall of Fame, everything.

Throw that everything in, right?

And people slaughtered Tavenier as a captain at Rangers.

So me personally...

I would like to see him just coming in there and saying, right, you're here.

He is a Rangers fan.

We all know that.

It's well documented.

Get yourself out there.

Show us what you're all about.

We'll give you the ammunition.

Forget having to lead or whatever.

He can lead by example by scoring goals.

You don't need an armband around you.

And I don't think it would bother him at all.

Because he knows the size of the club that he's going to.
