I mean, there were things that came about, but in the 50s, it was mostly comedy.
And we would listen to music as a family.
And we loved to listen to Frank Sinatra.
That was my father's favorite.
And we would all sing.
And we just we amused ourselves.
It was so wholesome.
Go to a movie.
You know, we all had local movie theaters, which now, of course, is few and far between.
But once a week, we all go to a movie.
And sometimes on a Saturday, I remember going with a, with a boyfriend that I had in high school and we'd go in the afternoon and then go, we'd have a double feature in the afternoon.
I think we must've eaten candy and stayed for the six o'clock show.
So, you know, that was what we loved and have a bag of popcorn and I think for a quarter or whatever.
And that was a great night.
Did you have any after school activities that,
Well, yes, of course.
We had all kinds of clubs.
We had drama clubs.
We had music clubs.
