And so I knew about their story and what they did as youngsters.

My mother's parents did not.
So I sort of knew their stories, which was wonderful.
So, you know, my great grandparents who were alive when I was young, I saw them rarely and they lived in a very religious settings.
And I wish I knew more about that.

But, you know, I can't think about that because, first of all, they they didn't really speak English.
They speak spoke Yiddish.
And so it would have been my father.
could communicate with them, but my mother couldn't.
Well, those are just sayings that have become part of American culture.
I don't know any English.
