I'll relate to this.

When I was on the board of trustees at a primary school in NZ, and it was well known that boys don't achieve as high as girls, right, in reading and maths.

And we had a really awesome principal.

He's from South Africa.

And he said to me, we need to do something about this.

And he said, I want you to approve funding because the board controls the school funding.

Approve a trip for me and one of the other teachers.

We're going to go to Singapore.

Singapore's got the best results for kids in maths and reading.

And I said, you go.

So here we go.

I think it cost about $10,000 out of board funds.

And off he went and came back and he said, we're going to implement Singapore maths into the school.

And it's a workbook style learning because boys learn through looking.

We'd rather look at trucks and boats and pictures than we would about reading a whole lot of text because in one ear and out the other.
