There are probably only three or four of them in the history of the game.
And Imran's in that batch.
It's a very, very tight circle.
A lot of blokes, we could bat a bit or bowl a bit.
But two, to be genuinely able to play in a team as one or the other is very rare.
And Imran was in that class, played some very, very good innings as a batsman.
But his bowling, I remember greatly.
And the test match that I remember most of all was when we toured Pakistan in 1980 or thereabouts.
at Lahore, the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, is the first time that I saw him got it reverse swinging.
And, you know, we were batting, Alan Borda and I were batting.
Alan, I think, got 150 in both innings of the game, which was a remarkable performance in itself.
But Imran came on for a second spell and the ball had been going gun barrel straight.
And the first three balls he bowled to me were gun barrel straight.
And then all of a sudden, this next one just ducked in late.
Thankfully, he was missing leg stunt.
But I think he eventually got me LBW with an in-swinger.
And I mean, they were in-swingers.
And he was the first one.
We knew about reverse swing.
In fact, in the day, we called it Chinese because it was sort of the opposite to what you expected.
