He said, I've missed this one.
He said, we'll have another go in seven years time.
And certainly within three cycles, I'll get there.
And pretty much it was in three cycles that he became prime minister of Pakistan.
And his comment when I asked him, but mate, you know, this is dangerous.
You're putting yourself at risk.
And he said, well, if that's what God wants, then that's the way it'll be.
He started out as a batsman who bowled a bit of medium pace and he was a very good batsman, good enough to get picked to play for Pakistan as a batsman in the top order and then I played against him a couple of times and as I say, he bowled genuine medium pace.
Next time I played him, he was a fast bowler.
He had decided that medium pace wasn't good enough.
He got himself fitter and stronger.
He ran in harder.
He had a big jump at the crease and
He let it go and he hit the bat hard.
I talked on the Etel podcast the other day.
You mentioned quite a few names there.
Most of them are bowlers who bat a bit.
Both of them probably a bit higher than that.
But of the guys that I've grown up with and seen play, and I forgot Gary Sobers, which is a very hard thing to do, the other day when I mentioned it, but blokes who could...
play in the top four and be a genuine bowler in the team.
