I said, well, you know why?
Because this is how popular the NFL is.
And this was way back when in 2000.
Yeah.
I mean, so we're talking about β
You know, trying to reinvent the wheel.
You know, people don't want that.
We love the game.
We love the game of football.
You know, CBS, you know, when I was there, we would always try to do something around the pregame show.
That's a little bit different because that could be, you know, some sort of video montage or a lot of video and a lot of...
graphics on the screen and you're explaining different things so you're trying to be a little bit more entertaining that way but once the game starts man people just want to watch the game they don't want to be distracted by bs unless of course it's a crappy met game and then we can listen to keith hernandez and ronnie darwin go down memory lane
Right, and read through the media guide and have a bunch of laughs.
That's a different story.
Those are our guys.
We know those guys.
And when it's time for that, that's when you do that.
I remember having bad Monday night games with Marv Albert or Howard David or the great Kevin Harlan, and one team would be up by 30 points and we'd just be starting the fourth quarter, and I would always think this has got to be like a radio show now.
Now we've got to discuss other things that are going on other than just the game because now we have to try to entertain people and keep people involved and maybe talk about the news of the day or what happened the day before on Sunday in the NFL.
So after yesterday discussing with Jameis Winston and all these other add-ons that Netflix may be using, I'm not even sure where they're going to be using them, I was very happy to see that ultimately we're going to get the game the way we expect it to be.
