Asmussen formerly worked on Star Wars Jedi and God of War series for Respawn and Sony Santa Monica, respectively. Stig, of course, a name that's been around a long time. He's put out lots of great games. So the fact that he is over there working on this gets me immediately excited, let alone D&D. Huge.

Yeah, and Baldur's Gate leaning so hard into that, right, was so great, just not the gameplay I wanted, where this sounds way more like if they can do immersive storytelling that way and give me that kind of gameplay, fuck it.

Again, the universe, I think, is one thing. I think it's the mechanics of it as well that are so interesting in that ad-lib nature. And I think maybe that's why it's harder to make a game and why Baldur's Gate works is there's so many permutations. And it's the things we talked about in the Outer Worlds re-review, right?

Of just, like, coming into Outer Worlds and having that ability of, all right, you can kill anybody or team up this way. Or, like, okay, that's what makes this role-playing game feel fleshed out and real. And so there's so many video game RPGs, but how many are leading... and able to lean into that to really change the story and the narrative on a whim is different.

Yeah. Blessing. Stig making a new game in the D&D world is pretty gosh darn big, but I'm sick of all this big news. It's a big week. I need some small news. Where should I go?

Number five, the Wii news. From IGN, From Software has released Elden Ring Night Rain Patch 1.01.1, the game's first since launch, and it made single-player mode a lot easier. It adds an effect, quote, automatic revival upon defeat, which allows revival once per night boss to solo expeditions and increases the amount of runes gained for solo expeditions. Thank God.

That's wild. I didn't hear that. I've never heard of PCs having trouble running a game. That's nuts.

From Noble, people can fly announced that they're suspending the development of Project Gemini and Project Eye Frost. They will also regroup as a studio and scale down their teams, which means layoffs. Boo. That sucks. Outriders devs here, right? People can fly. So, damn. That sucks.

I don't know anything about Project Gemini or Bifrost, but always sad to see plans not net out the way they should move on.

Good luck to everybody. From IGN, a PSA, Nintendo has confirmed that owners of the new Nintendo Switch 2 should not remove the protective film covering its screen. Quote, the screen is covered with a film layer designed to prevent fragments scattering in the event of damage. Do not peel it off. End quote.
