And then of course there doesn't seem to be a lot of scuttlebutt of people talking about it.
So what does that do for the franchise, the IP, the et cetera?
Cause I think some of that's applicable to thinking about bringing out a Bioshock four right now, but I digress.
Let's move on to story number four and Jake Solomon's goodbye, his AI trailer, and more.
This is Eddie over at GameSpot.
Games industry veteran Jake Solomon has shared the first footage of his next game, but it comes as part of the developer also stating that his studio is shutting down and the game may never be released.
After spending 20 plus years at Firaxis, Solomon founded Midsummer Studios in 2024 with the ambitious mission statement that it would quote unquote reinvent the life sim genre.
The company said, I want to watch this with sound up.
Can we wait, Kev?
The company said at the time that it raised more than $6 million from a variety of investors, but it seems Midsommar will close without releasing any games.
Solomon said, this is over on Twitter that he said this, he's really proud of the studio and the game that Midsommar was working on, which was called Burbank.
It was a quote-unquote dream game for him.
He said the studio wanted to show the game before we close the doors at Midsommar Studios, end quote, so the world can see what the team has been up to.
I'm going to read his Twitter posts in length, and then I want to finish the one last graph and then watch the video with you.
Okay, Jericho.
Jake tweeted, We built a studio, we made a game, and I'm really proud of both.
Before we close the doors at Midsummer Studios, I'd like to share a glimpse of Burbank, the game we poured our hearts into.
It's like, quote, Life Sims plus The Truman Show, end quote, but it's more than that.
I believe people are storytellers, and I want them to share whatever stories and characters they can dream up.
Burbank lets you do that.
