Let's get to the real question. Okay. Yeah, I mean, more and more people come to Patreon, and time and time again, that's proven to be a good thing. Like, yes, people watching Kind of Funny Games Daily who are supporting us with a Kind of Funny membership, you only have so many dollars to go around, and we get that. Don't get us wrong.

But I would dial it way, way, way, way, way back, right, to when we did this, and Kind of Funny broke off, and it was great, and then Easy Allies, and Danny, and et cetera started starting Patreons, and there was that...

moment when somebody would announce it like oh it's so cool for you then I do the oh shit what does that mean for us like does that mean people are going to leave us they're going to go over there and that's never been the case instead it's only ever been the case it would seem that when someone new comes to the patreon or the crowdfunding platform now that is you know obviously patreon.com slash kind of funny youtube.com slash kind of funny games apple spotify twitch when someone comes to one of these platforms and brings a new audience it seems like we're more likely to see members of their audience if we cross over with them go oh these guys are cool too I want to support them yeah

I think you could toss in more creators. I would toss in tariffs. I would toss in cost of living. I would toss in COVID. There's all these things of, well, what is that going to do? These are wild wrenches to be throwing into a crowdfunding ecosystem we have. But so far, it hasn't looked like, for us, there's been a dip because of new people entering the pool, only a rising tide lifting all boats.

Very possible. That's the thing where I am talking from the kind of funny perspective. I would imagine if you're a smaller creator, you have a smaller community, you have that. I think there's always that bullish, oh, man, we just lost our jobs and we're starting this. Here's all this money for month one. And then we retreat to what my normal donation slash subscription will be from there on out.

I think, yes. It's not that we can sit here and go, oh, well, that kind of funny success clearly can be extrapolated to every other creator because that's impossible.

But I can only speak to kind of funnies.

Yeah. Do you agree? Do you disagree? I mean, are you saying you're predicting the majority of them coming to it? Or are you saying what you've actually seen? I'm saying, I guess I'm predicting. Yeah. Like the majority of the people that come to.

I think it's too bold an assumption to assume that all the laid off people from Polygon are going to go start a Patreon and all the giant bomb people are going to go start a Patreon and et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. I'm also talking about the ones that are like the ones that are going to start a Patreon.

It remains to be seen how many are going to go do that, though, right? And then again, I also think there's a wide delta between what it takes for a kind of funny with 11 people to be successful versus what it takes for one person. Janet Garcia, pen to pixels, what she needs to be as an independent creator making versus what we need to be making.
