He liked the kick, but that's an area he improved.
And you would want to make it physical.
If you let Andre dominate the center of the court, you were second best.
And you had to keep him honest on the serve because once he got a hold of him and you didn't hit your spots, you were in serious trouble.
So if you could find that balance with him and also not give him rhythm.
He loved rhythm from the back.
And my game was perfect because...
The less ground strokes I hit, which even though my backhand wasn't great, in that period and generation I played, the less Andre got his rhythm and the less comfortable he felt out there.
Okay.
Well, Goran Ivanovic was a nightmare, but nobody beats Greg Rosetsky 10 times in a row with a bad back, dodgy arm, and can barely walk.
So I beat him on the 10th time, but he actually got injured when I beat him for the first time.
It was like a mirror image, but a better image than me.
He was better backhand, better mover, and better serve because it was more disguised than mine.
So he was a frigging nightmare.
I had, in all the matches we played over nine times, I think I had a total...
of something like 10 match points and couldn't win until the 10th time when he was injured.
He just had my number.
