you'll feel tough at the era that you've come through at the fact that you've been competing with the likes of Andy Robertson and you've been competing with the likes of Kieran Tierney you've been in so many squads over the year you've played a big part for this Scotland squad have you still got ambitions of getting back into the Scotland set up going forward?

joy for the players involved because there are a lot of ex-teammates friends so no i mean i'll be watching the other two games with just a pure pride and hoping they can do the job people will kind of ask those questions about you know how how does it feel not being at the world cup but it is you know just watching it you still feel you know involved in that way because you know the guys so well and you're just still friends with them all

perhaps not no a man like you a scholar of the game I'll tape it and get up at 6 and just don't text me the score I don't want it spoiled make sure to stay off of social media don't want any I think I actually saw a video on social media of a family that had basically all turned off their phones turned off social media for the game the other night because the kids were too young and they just watched it in the morning as if it was live and none of them had seen the game I thought that was quite a good idea that's absolutely terrific
