She didn't deserve it, but what I knew of her, I think Ian had said she was a nice lady or whatever.
I don't think I even really talked to many people about her.
But my understanding was that she wouldn't harm a fly.
She was friendly.
She was, you know, yeah, just getting on with her life.
But you only spoke to her that one time?
That would have been the longest conversation I had, and it wasn't very long anyway.
But I just remembered I felt like I had to raise a concern that she shouldn't be walking alone on the side of the road like that, especially in the evenings.
As I said, I think the words I said was, look, it's not an ideal world anymore.
I just don't think you should be doing it.
But that was about, that was certainly the longest conversation.
I might have said g'day to her a couple of other times.
I don't know, in passing, at shops or something.
But yeah, I didn't know her.
Yeah, everybody sort of knows of everybody.
Kind of like that, yeah.
