And his statement after he left made that clear that he wanted to stay there.

Some of his players wanted him to stay there.

But then the athletic director and the president of Ole Miss did not want him.

Correct.

And I don't blame the president of Ole Miss at all for saying –

I'm not going to have our rival coach hang out with our team, form a deeper bond with our team, and then take those players with him when he leaves our team, which he has already signed a contract to do.
