Like a lot of characters from books for teenagers were meant to be
Easily relatable.
That's great.
Yeah, because in every, like, apocalypse story or fantasy world, it's like they never talk about girls who need to, like, you know.
Yeah, there is something to be said about the way fantasy has changed since we were kids.
Like I find I actually find it hard to even remember books that featured like main female characters that I was reading at that time.
And then I think, again, I also gravitated really heavily towards romance.
And now it's everywhere.
And I still think that is kind of why there is a lot of romance within fantasy today, because a lot of women can see that and like it's kind of a gateway drug into the fantasy genre, which is nice.
So the sequel to Die Abound, which we've also done an episode on that on this podcast, which is excellent.
The sequel Furybound is coming out very, very soon.
And I'm really excited because there was a massive cliffhanger at the end of Die Abound.
So it's finally time.
Well, this is the ultimate enemies to lovers book and it is the book that I judge all other enemies to lovers romances against.
I can't even think of a book to film adaptation of fantasy right now.
Ooh, controversial.
Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell.
It is my favourite book of all time and the adaptation does the book justice and that is a tough call to make.
You know, I've never read that book or watched that.
I know.
