We had to do a lot of chores and jobs.
But we had to use that money to buy pretty much everything.
And there was a few things that here and there, mum and dad would pay for, toothbrush and toothpaste, mum and dad, you know, all of that.
But in terms of clothes and socks, any toys, obviously gifts.
If we went out to McDonald's for lunch, we had to pay for that, you know.
And we immediately, mum and dad said it was interesting going from
Them buying it, buying our stuff to us.
We would be like, oh, hey, like I'd go to my sister.
Hey, Christy, do you want to like, do you want to go in on a deal?
Because if we get that one, you could have that burger and we'd be saving this amount of money.
Whereas your children don't actually know the value of every dollar.
They'll go, mom, I want that.
I want that Happy Meal.
Happy Meals are like $7.50 right now.
Apparently, like that's a lot.
But like you actually don't your child doesn't realize the value of how much like how many hours you actually had to work for that to pay for that.
And so mom and dad said they became the yes parents.
They went from being the no parents to the yes parents because we'd go up and be like, I really want that Barbie.
And mom and dad would be like, of course, you can buy it.
How much money do you have?
