then I give her some quick words of encouragement, and then I put her to bed.
I think that the only other thing I'd add is maybe things that I don't do.
And why I don't, why I chose or we don't do and why we chose not to do them is I felt like I just wanted it, when we go through that, her sleep process, to not associate that routine with...
the rest of the day and so like i don't read to her and the reason why i don't read to her is because she reads throughout the rest of the day and so if she reads before bed then i feel like how is she going to delineate between reading and going to sleep versus reading at you know 1 p.m for an activity
Yeah, and I take that a step further.
The bedroom is for sleeping.
So as you said, she's never in the crib to play.
She's only in the crib to sleep.
The chair, she's never, the chair that I give her the milk in, the only time she's ever in that chair is before bed.
And the general bedroom.
She never plays in the bedroom.
She plays outside of the bedroom, in the living room.
Oh, and there's one other thing.
Even the changing table.
The only time I change her on the changing table in her room is before bed.
In the morning when I wake her up, I change her downstairs.
So that way the room is for sleeping and outside of the room is for living.
And once again, I don't think this is rocket science.
I feel like a lot of parents do this, but it's worked for us.
Yeah, totally.
