So like they remember things they like versus they don't like, which is where the power of choice comes in.
Because if I show her Panqueca versus Huevos, she picks the Panqueca every time.
She is her mother's child.
She loves pancakes.
um the independence phase begins so this is the i have opinions phase which means a lot of times it's not about the food it's more about they just want to have the autonomy to be able to pick again the power of choice so giving them the two options right and then um texture tolerance improves so with better chewing skills you know kids can focus less on like the act of eating and more on what they like versus what they don't like
But I saw a video of this mom and it was so funny.
She's like, honey, do you want strawberry pancakes?
And the kid's like, yep, I want strawberry pancakes.
So she starts cutting up the strawberries.
She checks in again.
You're sure you want strawberry pancakes because I'm making them from scratch right now.
He's like, mom, all I will eat right now is strawberry pancakes.
So she goes, this is extravagant.
She makes the pancakes.
She cuts them up.
She takes him over.
She's like, here's your fresh strawberry pancakes.
And it cuts to the video.
And he's like, I don't want pancakes.
