I just feel like we've historically or like everyone's... I feel like medium rare has been the default order forever, right?

I would assume that 70% of steaks, 75% of steaks ordered in the US are done medium rare.
Yeah.
But what I've come to kind of learn amongst my friend group here is it just feels like medium is much better.
Okay, I actually, I think that I am gonna marry that with my initial statement.
I actually totally agree.
But I think what it is is that when you have a medium rare steak and it comes out too rare,
it ruins the steak.
Versus if you have a medium rare steak and it comes out medium, it's still good.
And so you're just safest going medium.
