how we act how we speak um and he talks about like communists like a communist country who you don't have the capacity to get status through what you you know because everyone is arguably on the same level um but status is in different ways so like uh if someone's like a hard worker they would get shamed by the group for being a hard worker because it's like you don't you
You make everyone else look bad because you're a hard worker.
There's no reason as to why you need to work hard in a communist country.
And I find it really fascinating that I do think that humans are constantly just chasing status.
And I felt this for myself too.
Chasing status to feel a sense of importance to the tribe that we're in.
Or to feel that...
either we're growing in status or we're just like we're plateauing status, but we know where we are.
We know where we're standing in that status game.
Yeah, for sure.
It's human.
We've got egos.
We've got big egos, us.
Yeah, but we do.
Something in us does.
I'm sure there's a young boy inside of you.
I don't know what drove you the most when you were a young person.
But I can definitely recognize inside myself that a lot of what drove me was to gain my mom's eyeballs.
And then my mom turned into the world.
And now I've turned into, I would argue, a narcissist because I'm chasing external praise, which I have to battle all the fucking time.
