People are frustrated with their inability to address the things that Donald Trump is saying and doing and mount a serious defense against everything that Trump is doing, which sometimes means playing hardball, which sometimes means continuing with the government shutdown, for example, when the momentum is in your way.

When the momentum is is on your side, it sometimes means playing hardball and not conceding to some of the demands that the Trump administration will say yes to.

Like with with respect to ICE, instead of immediately launching an opposition towards the base of support that's saying abolish ICE, instead of turning around and saying, no, no, no, we're not going to do that.

The moderate position here is to reform ICE to say, you know what, we should abolish ICE.

that we should go back to the previous standard that we had when the Department of Homeland Security did not exist.

It's a 23-year-old institution in this country.

We act as though it was around since the beginning of time, but immigration at the end of the day is simply a paperwork violation, and it should not have this incredibly militant response

That you can go back to the INS and Border Patrol and customs being three separate agencies rather than under this like mass state surveillance apparatus that is very clearly being used to not only dominate our migrant neighbors, but also American citizens as well.

And then potentially in the upcoming midterms will be utilized against American voters as well.

This is a real fear that I have.

And I hope that, you know, the Democrats will address this before it gets to the point.

And they don't launch an opposition that is a day late and a dollar short.
