They are now expired until the council can vote again on April 21st.
So they let it lapse.
Now there's no curfew in place.
How convenient.
And then they're just going to stall, stall, stall, stall, stall the next time that the council in D.C.
can get together to vote again April 21st.
That's after spring break is over.
Even Mayor Muriel Bowser is upset at this.
She's even disappointed in the D.C.
council's decision, saying that the curfews allow her and allow law enforcement to deter dangerous behavior when curfews are in place.
They can also deter these meetups from happening in the first place.
If there's a curfew in place, you know, cops can shut it down right away.
Now, over in Tybee Island, Georgia, this isn't just any trendy teen takeover.
This is the kind of thing that happens every year around this time, and it is called Orange Crush.
This is a beach spring break celebration of sorts for HBCU students.
And in some years, it has exploded to a gathering attracting 100,000 people.
And I have been to Orange Crush.
