or at least once a month, have attempted dry January.
So this is someone who is drinking, but not frequently, or at least they drink at least once a month.
And this signals that sober curiosity is on the rise, right?
There is at least, or almost half of Americans are trying this.
But of the ones that try, it's mostly millennials that are trying this, which is my age group, which I find interesting.
And apparently boomers are the least likely to try dry January, which is funny because, like, why is that?
Is it because it's a trend and...
like older people are not gonna hop on a trend.
Like maybe it's just trendy to not drink right now or be sober curious.
So maybe that's the reason why younger people are doing it and older people aren't.
Or it's like, if you're retired,
why not?
You know, you deserve it.
You've put in your time.
Yeah, exactly.
Like maybe that's it.
I don't know.
But, um, this study also said that cold weather might have an impact on not drinking or, or whether or not you participate in dry January, people who live in the South where it's warmer, more likely to do it.
If you're living in the cold months, like you're in the Northeast or the Midwest and it is dang cold, that is the lowest, um,
level of participation in dry January.
