Happy Oscars Eve to you.
Yeah, you know, it sneaks up on you every year.
Before you know it, Oscars is here and you haven't done all of the things you need to do.
The waxing, you know, there's a lot.
Yeah, it's the pomp and circumstance of it all.
I know people love to hate on celebrities and award shows and all of that stuff.
I'm raising my hand.
You're one of those.
But there is something fun, and we definitely would miss it when it's gone.
Not to get too preachy, but it brings jobs.
It brings a focus on our town and our city.
And it also shifts the conversation just a little bit to something lighter and more fun, like movies, which, you know, there are a lot of great ones nominated this year.
Well, I mean, I totally agree with you, first of all, about Sinners and Frankenstein, you know, two very different directors and Ryan Coogler, who directed Sinners and Guillermo del Toro, who directed Frankenstein.
Very different, both incredible visionaries in their directing.
So I love that you saw those two.
If anybody is going to watch any movies tonight and they haven't seen anything yet or they're behind or maybe they want to try to squeeze one more in before the big show, I recommend Train Dreams was one that I really, really loved.
It's not getting a lot of love, not getting a lot of attention.
It's a very filmmaker-y film.
It's got a slower pace to it.
