Like I said, a lot of companies are not abandoning EVs entirely, and some are actually bringing out new models next year.
And many of them are going to be more affordable.
Um, Chevy, for example, is bringing back the bolts, which was a really popular affordable EV model that it abandoned a few years ago.
It's bringing that back for under $30,000.
There's, um,
Maybe you've heard of the Nissan Leaf, which was a really early EV.
That's coming back again with like a much sleeker look that's also around $30,000.
So it seems like some companies are sort of aiming at this more affordable part of the market.
And I'm really curious to see how that lands with consumers.
I mean, those cheaper models, if it's more affordable for more people to get in an electric vehicle, that could help this take off a little bit more.
Also, I mean, technology developments, the battery range on EVs just generally has gotten a lot better.
I mean, if that continues to be the trend and it's comparable to make a trip in an electric vehicle as it is in a gas-powered vehicle, that might convince some folks.
And then there's charging infrastructure.
The Trump administration also tried to pull back billions of dollars that the Biden administration had promised to states for EV charging.
And after some court battles, that money is actually going to get out.
So we may see a lot more charging build out.
There's also a lot of private companies like Walmart and convenience store chains that are expanding fast charging.
So if that sort of gets off the ground and more people experience EVs and find that it's easy enough to charge, that could really revitalize things over time.
But it's going to require a lot of capital investment from a lot of different places.
With online shopping, we've gotten pretty used to the idea that you can return stuff for free.
