If you can get hold of a copy of John Burke's book, Seed of Knowledge, Stone of Plenty, it's an absolute superb piece of work. Seed of Knowledge? Stone of Plenty, yeah. I think he died, unfortunately.

was discovered at a site called Nivali Chori. So what happened here is that this was about 8,300 BC, so it was a thousand-so years after Quebec-Litepe. It's now being flooded, the whole area's gone, but this was researched by Harold Helpman, Klaus Schmidt and others back in the 1980s, going into the 90s.

and they found not only these sort of square enclosures there with the terrazzo floor and these amazing statues but they also found some of the living structures where people lived some of them were like 16 meters long or 40 feet long and so forth but what they found was is like it was next to what's called the kantara stream which was a tributary of the euphrates river one of the rivers of paradise of the bible
