Like everywhere.
And the rule was, you know, you speak when you're spoken to.
And if you're going to sit in a meeting, you, you know, since we were five years old, you'd go up and you'd shake somebody's hand.
You'd say, nice to meet you, sir.
Nice to meet you, ma'am.
And then if you want to stay in the room, then, you know, you sit and you sit quietly until you're spoken to.
and we loved to do that.
Really?
Yeah.
I mean, so we were, you know, we were with my dad and we went everywhere together, everywhere.
And, um,
And what a gift, you know?
I mean, like... And so we would go, get on a train with them, and we'd go and sit in the cloakroom while he would go out on the Senate floor.
But then we would leave.
So unlike other United States senators and their families or congresspeople that move their families to D.C.
and get a house in Georgetown and go to St.
Albans and go to all the same restaurants,
Bo and I, like, you know, we're a little shadow of a United States senator, but then we get back on the train and go back to Delaware.
And so, in that respect, it was a really unique kind of life.
And one that I never didn't have.
