I think that counts for something right now when you've got a franchise at a low web and you're trying to build credibility and you're trying to build a culture.
But apart from that, you know, whether it was going to be for the Canucks, whether it was going to be for another team next year or two years down the road, Ryan Johnson, I think, is ready to be an NHL GM.
And he has a fairly diverse background.
So hasn't worked on the scouting side, but worked on the player development side.
worked on the player personnel side.
He has worked on trades in hockey ops.
And, you know, the last couple of years, as Alvin's basically right-hand man, he's been involved in everything.
Now, I know that there's an argument that, well, if he's been involved in everything and look where the team is, why are they hiring him?
And, of course, you could say the same thing about the Sedins.
But I would say in the case of Brian Johnson...
You know, he was early hire of Jim Benning and Trevor Linden and was promoted by them.
He then survived that regime change and basically got promoted again under Alvin and Rutherford.
And now not only is he going to survive another regime change, but he's going to be the guy.
And it says something to me that if you have
somebody who's that capable and that good the fact that the people who were above him and failed at some level i don't think he should be held to account for that uh and again the idea that well if you have ryan johnson who knows what happens to the the two agms
Cammy Granato and Emily Castonguay, maybe they're back, maybe they're not.
And maybe the change isn't going to be enough.
You know, maybe you need more change.
To that, again, I would say when Rutherford came in, a lot of people went out.
You know, Chris Gere was let go.
