And again, I know I'm repeating myself, but again, I think that would be a very positive thing for the hockey team.
Well, I can't really give you an answer as to why not to do that.
It seems pretty sensible, but I do think you have to respect Adam Foote.
I think you have to show him professionalism and courtesy and talk to him and see what he says about this past season and what he sees going forward.
But I know that I've seen that some people are worried because Toronto is sniffing around for head coach.
Well, what if Manny goes there?
and the Canucks lose out, well, Manny and Ryan are really close.
Like that, they've formed a special relationship.
And, you know, when there was a lot of talk a year ago after Manny's team won the Calder Cup that, you know, Dallas was interested or maybe this team was interested or maybe he would go here or there, I think there was a pretty good understanding between Ryan and Manny
That he was going to be staying here.
They would continue to work together.
Because Manny still had a lot to learn.
Still does have a lot to learn.
Still a young coach in terms of experience.
But he obviously has been successful.
This year was kind of a write-off for the whole organization.
There was definitely a trickle-down effect with some of the injuries.
Some of the priorities became to get the AHL players up here, and that obviously hurt as well the product in the American League.
But I think Manny is a very good coach.
And just as I actually wrote a column after they won, both of these guys are going to be in the NHL as an NHL general manager and an NHL head coach.
