And they understand that as much as anybody.
I think they and a lot of people who have spent time in hockey were fairly appalled at some of the things that happened with this team in terms of its chemistry, in terms of the relationships,
between players.
And so I think that would be a huge part of it.
I was actually concerned that maybe they wouldn't have anything to do with the new organization because, you know, they had a stint where they were sort of advisors to the general manager and they've had a stint in player development.
And I think they were extremely successful at that.
And, you know, what's next then?
These are people, obviously, if you're going to keep them, you have to have meaningful work for them to do.
They're not interested in just being, I think I said this when I was on a couple of weeks ago, they're not interested in just being these ceremonial parts of the Canucks organization, a legacy segment from the greatest era in franchise history.
I really hope they are part of it, and it wouldn't surprise me if they do have very senior positions, because I think they're suited for it.
The only surprise to me in that, if in case, if it turns out, just for argument's sake, let's say they're co-presidents, or one's a president and one's whatever the other senior title is that you come up with.
I mean, those are huge commitments to take on those jobs.
And that would be more the surprise to me that they are willing at this stage to still do that and invest the number of years that they know they would be committing to do that.
Because again, I think when they first started with the Canucks, they wanted to be involved.
They wanted to give back.
But a lot of it had to do with, you know, their kids are all basically Vancouverites.
They wanted to
leave their kids in school and let them grow up here.
And then after that, they would decide what it is they would do with their lives.
And if they're going to be running the Canucks hockey operations, then that's a very big decision that they've made to do this with their lives.
