You never know what happens in the end of these tournaments.

These two teams we had in the last two World Cups in particular, I think really disappointing results.

So when he says 22-24, particularly those two teams, to me that's kind of saying this team's not as good as that one.

I'm not interpreting that as an excuse, but it is interesting that he's just called straight out there that in T20 World Cups, like the last three that Australia have been involved in,

The returns have been abject.

And he's just expressing his disappointment with that.

That's happened three times in a row.

In Australia, we kind of conflate white ball World Cup tournaments.

So that 23-50 over World Cup win kind of compensates, I think, for the others.

But he's saying straight up, these have been really disappointing results.

He went on to say that he thought that the T20 team prepared possibly even better than Test Cricket.

So that wasn't a criticism that he agreed with.

But yeah, just goes to show how... I mean, the tail between the legs for this one I think is profound.

I do think failing to make even the Super 8s is about as bad as it gets in a sea of poor T20 results for Australia when it really matters.

That's why I didn't celebrate any Australian wickers with Zimbabwe, but that was also because I only took two.

But when they did, I was just like hands up at home with my kids, just like, no, no, no good.
