It doesn't get the coverage because, look, the Champions Cup is where it's at.
But everyone that's in that knows that this is an important stepping stone for them.
Thanks a million for having me in.
Hey, Joe.
Hey, Cian.
Yep, delighted to be on.
Yeah it's a good team I think you touched on it there James Ryan is a loss he does a lot of unseen work and kind of
nitty-gritty work, especially in the tackle, the breakdown, his carries.
While they aren't as explosive as some of the other forwards, they're really important for Ireland's multi-phase attack.
I think Joe McCarthy's refinding form off the back of a game that definitely fell below his high standards in Paris in round one.
We saw his impact off the bench and he'll be really raring to go getting a start.
One of the big positives I see with this team is we're now building out depth.
So when you're seeing a player's injured, it's not the hammer blow that it has been in the past.
You look at the back three, we've James Lowe injured, Jacob Stockdale, who's very much refound form in a green shirt.
But you've got real speed and quality in Tommy O'Brien and Balakum.
And then that's without mentioning the likes of Matt Hanson and Hugo Keenan.
So we've great depth in the back three and real speed, which is, you know, if you think back to the last World Cup, that's what we were saying.
We need to uncover more speed if we're going to be really competitive in the next World Cup.
And we've done that.
Yeah.
