And I think he was asked specifically then about Pedersen as well.
Wiping away expectations.
I think what they're trying to do is just be as supportive of him as they can be at this point.
as a player, let's say as a guy who has struggled, and try to build him up a little bit so that he feels better about himself and more confident in his place and maybe can just get back to trying to be a great player instead of getting back to trying to respond to the criticism of what he's not, trying to
you know, be more outspoken if that's not his nature.
And we know it's not his nature.
You know, he had an A put on him and a lot of people thought he should have got the C. Thanks.
Thank goodness the Canucks didn't do that.
But even the A, you know, if he's not really comfortable being out front and leading in an overt way, maybe that wasn't the best thing for him either.
I just see this as part of management's plan, I think.
to try to make it as remove as much pressure and burden off of Pedersen as they can.
The contract we know is always going to be pressure and burden in itself.
We should all be so lucky to have that problem of having to live up to $93 million.
But I think they're just trying to remove as much of the baggage that's accumulated in a fairly short period of time.
Just take that baggage off of him.
and then see how he does.
Does he respond?
Does he come in in better shape?
Does he play better?
Does he play freer?
